FinalCall ("we," "our," or "the app") is a social wager tracking application that allows friends to create, track, and settle friendly bets. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our iOS application.
FinalCall is not a gambling app, sportsbook, or payment processor. FinalCall does not accept deposits, hold funds, process payments, or facilitate real-money transfers of any kind. The app is a social tracking tool only. Any settlement of wagers between users is arranged privately between those users and takes place entirely outside of FinalCall through third-party services such as Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, or any other method the users choose. FinalCall has no involvement in, visibility into, or control over any such transactions.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Display name
- Username (your unique @handle)
- Venmo username (optional, provided by you for settlement convenience)
Wager & Activity Data
As you use the app, we store:
- Wagers you create, join, or judge (titles, amounts, outcomes)
- Win/loss records, streaks, and reputation scores
- Trophy achievements and judge ratings
- Golf scorecard data (course info, handicap, hole-by-hole scores) for golf wagers
Social Data
- Users you follow and who follow you
- Group wager participation
Device Data
- We store notification preferences locally on your device using standard iOS storage (UserDefaults) to track which alerts you have dismissed. This data stays on your device and is not sent to any server.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide and improve the app's functionality:
- Account management: To create and maintain your account, authenticate your identity, and display your profile to other users.
- Wager tracking: To create, manage, and resolve wagers between you and other users.
- Social features: To enable following other users, viewing leaderboards, and participating in group wagers.
- Notifications: To send you local push notifications about wager updates (invitations, results, judge requests).
- Settlement convenience: If you provide your Venmo username, we use it to generate a deep-link so other users can open Venmo on their own device to pay you. We do not process any payments.
3. No Money Transfer — Important Clarification
FinalCall is a social wager tracking app, not a financial services app. To be unambiguous:
- FinalCall does not transfer, hold, move, or touch money in any form.
- FinalCall does not integrate with any payment network's API (Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, etc.).
- FinalCall does not initiate, authorize, or confirm any financial transaction on your behalf.
- Wager "amounts" stored in the app are informational records only — they represent what two or more users have agreed upon socially.
- Any monetary settlement is entirely at the discretion of the users involved and occurs outside the app through whatever method they choose.
The optional payment platform links in the app (e.g., a "Pay via Venmo" button) do nothing more than open the respective third-party app or website on your device, pre-populated with a username you have voluntarily stored. This is equivalent to a bookmark — no transaction is initiated or authorized by FinalCall.
4. Data Storage & Third-Party Services
Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore database and Firebase Authentication), which is operated by Google LLC. By using FinalCall, your data is processed according to Google Firebase's privacy practices.
We use the following Firebase services:
- Firebase Authentication: Secure email/password sign-in
- Cloud Firestore: Database for storing your account, wagers, and activity data
- Google Cloud Messaging: Push notification delivery infrastructure
We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
5. Payment Platform Links
FinalCall provides optional convenience links that open third-party payment apps or websites (such as Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, or PayPal) so users can settle wagers with each other independently.
- We do not process, hold, or transfer any money.
- We do not access any payment account, balance, or transaction history.
- We only store the payment handle (e.g., Venmo username) you voluntarily provide in your profile.
- Tapping a payment link simply opens the corresponding app or website — any transaction occurs entirely within that third-party service and is subject to their terms and privacy policy.
- FinalCall is not affiliated with Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, or any other payment service.
6. Data We Do NOT Collect
We want to be transparent about what we do not do:
- We do not collect your location
- We do not access your camera, photos, or contacts
- We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- We do not track you across other apps or websites
- We do not collect financial or banking information
- We do not sell your data to anyone
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your data is only shared in the following limited ways:
- With other FinalCall users: Your display name, username, wager activity, win/loss record, and reputation are visible to other users for social and wager functionality.
- With Google Firebase: Your data is stored on Firebase infrastructure as described in Section 4.
- If required by law: We may disclose information if required by a valid legal process.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at the email below and we will remove your data from our systems within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
FinalCall is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a user under 18 has created an account, please contact us and we will promptly delete the account.
10. Security
We use industry-standard security measures provided by Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and secure authentication. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data

12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the app or on this page. Your continued use of FinalCall after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
